NOW PLAYING: How to Create a Yon-Koma Manga
In this video, Manga University artist Tadashi Koda demonstrates the process of creating a yon-koma (four-panel) Japanese comic strip. Working with a Wacom tablet and bundled software, Koda-sensei introduces the concept of kishōtenketsu (Japanese narrative). This fundamental approach to storytelling, which has its roots in ancient Chinese and Japanese poetry, is the basis of modern yon-koma manga.
