Step
1:
Start by drawing a
large circle for the upper half of the
face. Draw in the lower half of the face,
and divide it up with guidelines as shown.
Make sure that the guidelines for the nose
and mouth are drawn close
together.
|
|
Step
2:
Next, draw in the
eyes, nose, mouth and ears (drawn in red),
making sure that her features line up with
the guidelines you drew in step 1. In this
view, Shampoo's eyes are very large and
circular (the irises are perfect circles),
and her nose and mouth are very small.
Notice that the nose is just a small, oval
shaped mark rather than your typical,
wedge-shaped anime nose.

|
Step
3:
Erase all the
guidelines. Add the highlights and light
glares to her eyes, and fill in her
eyebrows. Add some shading under her
mouth, and draw in the shoulders. The
shoulders are relatively thin; they
shouldn't extend too far out past her
head.
|
|

Step 4:
Begin drawing her
hair, making it very thick and rounded.
Try not to make it too big; notice how
close it is to the top of her
head.

|
Step
5:
Here is the finished
result, which I have colored in Photoshop.
As always, you can use whatever medium you
like; I chose Photoshop because you can
make a fairly clean picture in a shorter
amount of time. Please take note of the
shading on Shampoo's hair; rather than
just using bands or zigzags to highlight
her hair, several series of flat ovals are
used, which gives her hair a much more
thick and rounded appearance.

Step
1:
Next, I'll go over
how to draw Shampoo's face from at a 3/4
view. This section will be a little
briefer than the front view, because a lot
of the steps are similar. Start with a
large circle as shown, and separate it
into guidelines (which are drawn here in
red). The guidelines will be positioned on
the face exactly as they were in the front
view, except this time they are rotated to
the right. Make the lower half of the face
small, and the guidelines for the nose and
mouth close together, just as you did with
the first picture.
|
|
Step
2:
Draw in the eyes,
nose, and mouth, making sure that all the
features line up with all the guidelines
you drew. The eyes are not quite as
circular as in the front view; the nose is
small and wedge shaped. Draw the ear, as
well.
|
|
Step
3:
Erase all the
guidelines, and add the shiny parts and
light glares to her eyes. Draw the basic
outline of the main part of her hair and
shoulders.
|
|

Step 4:
Draw the rest of
Shampoo's hair; make sure that it is very
smooth and rounded. Draw her clothes, as
well.I was too lazy to draw in the rest of
her upper body; if you want to draw the
rest, you'll have to do it on your own.
^_^ Once you are done, go over your lines
and make them as smooth and clean as
possible.
|
|
Step
5:
Color or shade the
finished result with the medium of your
choice. As always, it is very important
that you shade your picture in some way
(unless you're just making a flat line
drawing or something). It will look dull
and flat without the shading. Notice that
the shading of the hair uses series of
ovals as highlights rather than bands of
light or zigzags, just like with the front
view.
