It's Patty and Ruby, at your service!
So many costumes, so little cash... Meet Patty and Ruby, two fun-loving, all-American teeangers who love dressing up as their favorite manga characters. Their passion for cosplay takes them to Japan, where they plan to buy professionally made costumes ... until they see the exorbitant price tags. So, they do what any sensible cosplayer would do -- they take part-time jobs at an Akihabara maid café!
Throughout the story we follow Patty and Ruby as they experience Akihabara's otaku culture firsthand, from maid cafes, to cosplay, street performances, and even live pop concerts! With the help of some new friends, Patty and Ruby even gain a little fame on the Akihabara Otaku Network, but their jealous rival Sayuri is also constantly plotting their downfall.

Cast of Characters
Originally from the U.S., Patty went to Japan on a whim with her friend Ruby to find manga mecca -- Akihabara! Her ability to try new things enables her to be totally impulsive and sometimes leap before she looks.
While the other half of “Moe USA” is not as spontaneous as her best friend Patty. It was Ruby’s careful planning that got the girls to Japan in the first place.
The most popular maid at Maidland Cafe before Patty and Ruby showed up, Sayuri-san is burning with jealousy towards our two heroines. Will she get revenge?
Lovable Mr. Otaku is Patty and Ruby’s number-one fan and creator of the “Moe USA” homepage that gained the duo global stardom. He’s also part of the A.O.N. (Akiba Otaku Network).
Taro Watanabe is Patty and Ruby’s producer at Big Name Productions. He discovered the girls when they were working at Maidland, and now it’s his job to see them succeed.
Master of hacking, chess, anime, manga and all things geeky, “The Godfather of Otaku,” Taku-san has joined the A.O.N. to help Patty and Ruby in their adventures.
