Manga University has been creating trading cards for the BJ-League (Japan's professional basketball association) since their first All-Star Game in 2006. This time we’ve pulled out all the stops to create a gorgeous set of 21 full-color cards. The drawings are a striking mixture of traditional American sports caricature and Japanese action manga that are sure to appeal to sports and comic fans alike.
Our BJ-League All-Star Trading Cards are produced in extremely small numbers and are a rare collectible among Japanese basketball fanatics, but this year we’ve secured a few dozen sets to sell worldwide!
The BJ-League's 13 teams comprise an exciting mix of foreign and Japanese players, and this full set features the entire 2010 All-Star roster, including former league MVP Lynn Washington (who played at Indiana under coach Bobby Knight); dynamo 5'5" guard Cohey Aoki (who was coached for several seasons by Joe Bryant, father of Kobe Bryant); and fan-favorite Chris Holm (who was a standout player at the University of Vermont).
